Sometimes it feels good to stand out. I'm not sure if I said this in my blog here or the other one but I'll say it again: I wasn't really upset, but it does make me wonder, for every positive comment, how many people are thinking or saying negative things about the way I dress. I'm bringing this up again because soon after that rudeeee remark, a girl mentioned how nice I dressed and Alima said something about how she loves my outfits- yet again!! It feels really nice to hear that sometimes and I am kind of appreciative that the kid made his rude comment because I need to be humbled a LOT. Or else I'm going to start getting obnoxious. So anytime you want to pull the "STOP BEING OBNOXIOUS" plug, just make a rude comment and I'll quickly be brought back down to size. <3 I'll love you for it forever!

today is today.

hurrah! i have realized that i really wear skinny jeans more than i should, but what can i say. they call to me.
and with that declaration of my love for them, i begin the pictures

and in sewing, we are making pajama bottoms. i think mine are too short. they have cowboys all over them. i will take a picture when i finish. IF i finish.

and also, just in case you were wondering to yourself "now, what on earth would maggie do if there was no such thing a bow ties"...
the answer is i would have to cry. a lot. ooooh, and the same for stripes. and cardigans. and dresses. and frills. and ric rak. and pins. and...

attack of the sewing machines

i am quite nearly positive that the school sewing machines do not like me. at all. of course, i do not like them, so it kind of works out.
and also, i am hooked on a new show. well, it isn't exactly new, per se. new to me. it is called eureka, and i guess it is on the scifi channel. i get it on itunes. the perfect mix of humor, drama, and complicated science that i do not understand.

So, I felt all cute and Parisian in my outfit today until some kid said rather rudely "What's with her shoes, and what's with the hat...we're not in France".

People's reactions to my outfits are interesting to me and I tend to think about them until the next one comes along to replace the current one I am obesessing over. The previous one was positive so it's only fair that it gets balanced out with a negative. Well, my dear ignorant friend...perhaps you haven't heard of something called COLORS and HATS and VARIETY. I'm sorry I'm not schlupping around in my designer Uggs (UGGlies is more like it) and my skinny jeans (this does not apply to maggie by the way because you look awesome in them), and oh god forbid I actually put some form of decoration on my head...you know, because looking any bit different from the rest of you brain dead fashion zombies is awful. Truth be told, I'm really not that upset. In fact, looking at this from an RSI p.o.v. it's obvious that this kid needs some love in his life and so now I'm not just going to treat and put the usual into my intention setting consciousness, but now I'm going to think about all the people who I tend to lump in the "jerk/douchebag" category and think positive and loving thoughts towards them. An eye for an eye doesn't work. Love does. And so my narrow-minded, love deprived friend...here's to you. May you experience all the love I'm sending your way and then hopefully you'll be so overcome by this love that you will start treating other people like human beings. <3
Oh yeah...in case you're wondering, I'm wearing a beret on my head. It's just hard to see in this picture.

(no subject)

since this is the most recent photo i have taken, i will pretend this is today, and therefore i will talk about today.
in psychology, we did this trance thing, and all that i took from it was an enormous headache and a longing for sleep. also, i guess, right afterwards for a few minutes i could not move my body. that sure was fun.
in printing, we are doing a linoleum print. and i am fresh out ideas. now, munirah, is your time to chime in with a brilliant theme that i could sneakily use as my own. suggestions, in conclusion, are much appreciated.
in that same psychology class, we need to record our dreams. well, it is extra credit, but i do love me my extra credit. so... so far i have dreamed about
~ a pink umbrella with a ultramarine blue handle and a NASCAR logo
~ badgers
~ a play about sewing with that one guy from Home Improvement
~ substitute teachers
~ my ebay dress

quite the conundrum

i would create cuts so that my pictures do not take up so much space on the blog, and are rather linked with those little pink words i like so much, but
A. i am terribly lazy
B. i believe it makes it look like i post more than i actually do, which makes me feel a little less bad about the fact that A.
anyways, i lied on flickr. i have two outfits posted for november 5th, when i know for a fact that it was hard enough to find even one outfit. but i don't know which one that is. this would be not a problem if i, you know, posted on time, but that brings us back to point A.
anyways, here is the second outfit of november 5th. ha.

... and my head hurts a little

i am not a terribly big fan of this ensemble, but whatever i guess

although i do like the shirt, but i wish i had gotten it in a like XXL and made it into a dress instead. and the neck ruffles got weird. but that is okay because i love ruffles regardless.
